Manitoba Provincial Road 353 is a provincial road in southwestern region of the Canadian province of Manitoba. Route description The route begins at PTH 5 near Oberon, and terminates at PTH 10. PR 353 is an east–west highway providing access to the unincorporated communities of Brookdale and Moore Park. The road is generally quite straight and is paved for its entire length. History In the early 1990s, the Manitoba government decommissioned a number of provincial secondary roads and returned the maintenance of these roads back to the rural municipalities. A large portion of the original PR 353 was included in this decommissioning. Prior to this, PR 353 was more than twice its current length. It continued past its current eastbound terminus with PTH 5 ('' PR 258 prior to 1980'') as a concurrence to the unincorporated community of Wellwood, where PR 353 continued east to meet PR 352. The Rural Municipality of North Cypress is a former rural municipality (RM) in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was originally incorporated as a rural municipality on January 1, 1883. It ceased on January 1, 2015 as a result of its provincially mandated amalgamation with the RM of Langford to form the Municipality of North Cypress – Langford. As of 2011, the population of the former RM of North Cypress is 1,860. Overview The former RM of North Cypress is located in the Westman region of the province between Brandon and Portage la Prairie. It surrounds the independently governed Town of Carberry and includes the unincorporated communities of Brookdale, Wellwood and Edrans. Also located in the former RM of North Cypress are the Acadia, Fairway and Riverbend Hutterite colonies. Manitoba Highway 5
Provincial Trunk Highway 5 (PTH 5) is a provincial primary highway located in the Canadian province of Manitoba. The highway starts at the Hansboro–Cartwright Border Crossing on the Canada–United States border and ends at the Saskatchewan boundary west of Roblin. Besides Roblin, it passes through the communities of Cartwright, Glenboro, Carberry, Neepawa, McCreary, Ste. Rose Du Lac, Grandview, and Gilbert Plains along its route. The highway, in a section concurrent with PTH 10, bypasses the City of Dauphin. (PTH 5A / 10A does run through Dauphin.) The segment of PTH 5 between PTH 10 and Ste. Rose Du Lac is part of the Northern Woods and Water Route. Further south, PTH 5 is also the main route through Spruce Woods Provincial Park between Glenboro and Carberry. Provincial Trunk Highway 10 (PTH 10) is a provincial primary highway located in the Canadian province of Manitoba. PTH 10 begins at the International Peace Garden along the Canada–United States border near Boissevain. The highway runs north through Brandon, Dauphin, Swan River, and The Pas to the Saskatchewan boundary at Flin Flon. The speed limit is 100 km/h. PTH 10 is designated as the John Bracken Highway between the International Peace Garden and Riding Mountain National Park, and the Northern Woods and Water Route between Dauphin and The Pas. The highway also serves as the main route through Riding Mountain National Park. At in length, PTH 10 is currently the longest highway in the province. Manitoba Provincial Road 258 is a former provincial road in the Canadian province of Manitoba. Route description PR 258 connected PTH 16 ('' PTH 4 prior to 1977'') at the eastern edge of Neepawa to PTH 3 and PTH 28 at Cartwright. Between Neepawa and Cartwright, PR 258 passed through Carberry and Glenboro, as well as Spruce Woods Provincial Park, which is located between the two communities. Manitoba Provincial Road 352 is a provincial road in the southwestern section of the Canadian province of Manitoba. Route description PR 352 begins at PTH 5 near Birnie, and terminates at the PTH 34 near Arizona. Although the route is marked north–south, PR 352 travels in a northwest–southeast direction for most of its length. It is also designated as an east–west road for between PTH 5 and Mile 83N. From PTH 5, it travels east through Birnie before turning southeast at Mile 83W (formerly PR 575). From this point, PR 352 continues for to its intersection with PR 265. South of PR 265, the road continues in the same southeasterly direction for another through the community of Arden until it intersects with PTH 16 south of that community.
