Manitoba Centre For Health Policy
Manitoba Centre for Health Policy (MCHP) is a public, not-for-profit research unit in the Department of Community Health Sciences within the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada). MCHP provides and uses population-based administrative data to inform health policy, social policy and health and social service delivery provincially, nationally and internationally. MCHP also creates population-based research on health and the social determinants of health. History of MCHP The Manitoba Centre for Health Policy (MCHP) was founded in 1991 by Drs. Manitoba Health Research Council
The Manitoba Health Research Council (MHRC), was a provincial agency based in Winnipeg, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, that supported health sciences research through grants, awards and fellowships funded by Manitoba's provincial government. The MHRC reported to and advised the Ministry of Innovation, Energy and Mines. MHRC was folded into Research Manitoba in 2014 with a renewed focus and mandate. The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA; french: Office régional de la santé de Winnipeg, ORSW) is the governing body for healthcare regulation for the City of Winnipeg, the northern community of Churchill, and the Rural Municipalities of East and West St. Paul, in the Canadian province of Manitoba.
