Philip Schuyler
Philip John Schuyler (; November 18, 1804) was an American general in the Revolutionary War and a United States Senator from New York. He is usually known as Philip Schuyler, while his son is usually known as Philip J. Schuyler. Born in Albany, Province of New York, into the prosperous Schuyler family, Schuyler fought in the French and Indian War. He won election to the New York General Assembly in 1768 and to the Continental Congress in 1775. He planned the Continental Army's 1775 Invasion of Quebec, but poor health forced him to delegate command of the invasion to Richard Montgomery. He prepared the Continental Army's defense of the 1777 Saratoga campaign, but was replaced by General Horatio Gates as the commander of Continental forces in the theater. Schuyler resigned from the Continental Army in 1779. Schuyler served in the New York State Senate for most of the 1780s and supported the ratification of the United States Constitution. John Lowell (actor)
John Lowell (April 11, 1875 - September 19, 1937) was an American film actor in starred in several productions during the silent era. He is sometimes credited as John Lowell Russell. Biography Lowell was born in Pleasant Valley, Iowa. He was married to the screenwriter Lillian Case Russell. The actress Evangeline Russell and the cinematographer John L. Russell were their children. Lowell began his film career in 1919, appearing in two shorts. He was a producer for Lowell Film Productions, whose work included '' Red Love'' (1925). On September 19, 1937, Lowell died in Los Angeles, California. Dorothy Vernon (born Dorothea Christine Arens, November 11, 1875 – October 28, 1970) was a German-born American film actress. Born Dorothea Christine Arens as the daughter of a Lighthouse warden, she emigrated into the United States as late as 1897. She appeared in more than 130 films between 1919 and 1956. She died in Granada Hills, California from heart disease, aged 94. Her son was actor and entertainer Bobby Vernon. Cliff Lyons (actor)
Clifford William Lyons (1 July 1901 - 6 January 1974) was an American film actor, stuntman and second unit director, primarily of Westerns and particularly the films of John Ford and John Wayne. His Hollywood contemporaries were unanimous in describing him as “a driven taskmaster”. Biography Lyons, the son of Garrett Thomas Lyons and Wilhamena Johnson Lyons, was raised on a South Dakota farm, though his family lived for a time in Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended business school. An expert horseman, Lyons gave up the notion of a business career and opted for the rodeo arena instead, touring nationwide and eventually reaching Los Angeles at the age of 21. Accomplished cowboys were in great demand for western films, and Lyons found a home in that genre, working both as a stuntman and an actor.
