The Manhattan Community Board 4 is a New York City community board in the borough of Manhattan encompassing the neighborhoods of Hell's Kitchen, Chelsea, and Hudson Yards, as well as parts of the Garment District, the Flower District, and the Meatpacking District. It is delimited by the Avenue of the Americas, 26th Street, and Eighth Avenue on the east, 14th Street on the south, the Hudson River on the west, and 59th Street on the north. Its current chair is Lowell Kern, and its District Manager is Jesse Bodine. 59th Street is a crosstown street in the New York City borough of Manhattan, running from York Avenue and Sutton Place on the East Side of Manhattan to the West Side Highway on the West Side. The three-block portion between Columbus Circle and Grand Army Plaza is known as Central Park South, since it forms the southern border of Central Park. Hudson River
The Hudson River is a river that flows from north to south primarily through eastern New York. It originates in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York and flows southward through the Hudson Valley to the New York Harbor between New York City and Jersey City, eventually draining into the Atlantic Ocean at Lower New York Bay. 14th Street is a major crosstown street in the New York City borough of Manhattan, traveling between Eleventh Avenue on Manhattan's West Side and Avenue C on Manhattan's East Side. Eighth Avenue is a major north–south avenue on the west side of Manhattan in New York City, carrying northbound traffic below 59th Street. The New York City Borough (New York City), borough of Manhattan contains 214 numbered east–west streets ranging from 1st to 228th, the majority of them designated in the Commissioners' Plan of 1811. Area code 917 is a telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan for the five boroughs of New York City: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.
