Mandurah City Football Club is an Australian professional football club based in Mandurah, Western Australia. Their home ground is Peelwood Reserve in Halls Head. The club has 300 registered players which also includes Juniors, Social, Women, Semi-pro and Masters teams. They currently (2019) compete in the Football West State League Division 1. History Founded in 1970, Mandurah City played their inaugural competitive season in the South West Soccer League, and won the league in 1972. The club then joined the Western Australian Amateur and Social Soccer Association (WASSA), where it remained until 2002. During this period in the amateurs, the club won the amateur championship in 1995 under the guidance of coach Jim Mayers. In 2002, the club left the amateur ranks and joined the Western Australian Semi professional league and were crowned Division 1 champions in 2007, gaining promotion to the Premier League for the 2008 season.Kreider, R.N. 2017 National Premier Leagues
The 2017 National Premier Leagues was the fifth season of the Australian National Premier Leagues football competition. The league competition was played amongst eight separate divisions, divided by FFA state and territory member federations. The divisions are ACT, NSW, Northern NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia. John Baird (footballer, Born 1985)
John David Baird (born 22 August 1985) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a forward. He currently plays for Football West State League Division 1 side Mandurah City. Baird has also previously played for Clyde, St Mirren, Stenhousemuir, Montrose, Brechin City, Airdrie United, Dundee, Partick Thistle, Raith Rovers, Queen of the South, Falkirk, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Greenock Morton and Forfar Athletic where he was also the assistant manager. A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. Mandurah () is a coastal city in the Australian state of Western Australia, situated approximately south of the state capital, Perth.
