Manchi Manushulu
''Manchi Manushulu'' () is a 1974 Indian Telugu-language drama film produced & directed by V. B. Rajendra Prasad under his Jagapathi Art Pictures banner. It stars Sobhan Babu and Manjula, with music composed by K. V. Mahadevan. It is a remake of the Hindi film '' Aa Gale Lag Jaa'' (1973). Plot Radha (Manjula) is a medical student and daughter of a wealthy man, Raghupati Rao ( Nagabhushanam). While on a trip to Simla, she meets and falls in love with Gopi (Sobhan Babu); they get intimate with each other. Gopi asks Raghupati Rao for his daughter's hand, but he refuses, on the ground that the hard-up Gopi is not worthy of her. Gopi leaves Radha a note, explaining that her father refused the alliance and that he is heading to meet his mother, who is very sick. Raghupati Rao gets hold of the letter before Radha. ''Aa Gale Lag Jaa'' () is a 1973 Hindi romantic film directed by Manmohan Desai, based on a story by Smt. Jeevanprabha Desai. It stars Shashi Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore and Shatrughan Sinha. The film became a box office hit. Poornima received a Filmfare nomination as Best Female Playback Singer for the song "Tera Mujhse Hai." Her nomination is the only Filmfare nomination for the film. Arudra (born Bhagavatula Sadasiva Sankara Sastry; 31 August 1925 – 4 June 1998) was an Indian author, poet, lyricist, translator, publisher, dramatist, playwright, and an expert on Telugu literature. Acharya Aatreya (born Kilambi Venkata Narasimhacharyulu ) (7 May 1921 – 13 September 1989) was an Indian poet, lyricist, playwright, and screenwriter known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. Mukkamala Krishna Murthy (1920–1987), known mononymously by his surname as Mukkamala (Telugu: ముక్కామల), was a lawyer turned actor who was active in Telugu films in the 1950s and the 1960s.
