Manatee High School
Manatee High School is the oldest public high school in Bradenton, Florida, operated by the Manatee County School District. History Bradentown High School would open in 1897 located on what is now 15th Street West and Ballard Park Drive operating out of a wooden two-story building. A brick building which served as its replacement to the original building would be built in 1912. The original building became the Bradentown Intermediate School serving students from 3rd to 6th grade until closing in 1923 when a replacement was built for the intermediate school was built. After the new intermediate school was built it would be bought by Bradenton's municipal government and demolished. Sometime prior to 1915 students who lived in nearby Palmetto would start attending the school and it became known as Manatee County High School. Kathleen Flinn
Kathleen Flinn (born June 1, 1967) is an American writer, journalist and chef. She is best known for the 2007 ''New York Times'' bestseller, ''The Sharper Your Knife, the Less You Cry''. Early life Flinn was born in Davison, Michigan, to Milton G. Flinn Sr., a foreman for General Motors' AC Spark Plug plant in Flint. Her mother was also employed by GM in its personnel department. She was the youngest of five siblings. All were significantly older, so by the time she entered elementary school, she was the only child living at home. Flinn states she began cooking at age eight to feed herself as a latchkey kid, and began writing stories around the same time. Chris Perez (baseball)
Christopher Ralph Perez (born July 1, 1985) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He pitched collegiately for the University of Miami, and was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round (42nd overall) of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft. Perez also played for the Cleveland Indians and Los Angeles Dodgers. Daniel Miller (born May 30, 1942) is an American politician from the state of Florida. A Republican, he represented the state and its 13th district in the House of Representatives for ten years. Early life and career Miller was born in Highland Park, Michigan, but moved to Florida during his childhood and graduated from Manatee High School in Bradenton, Florida, in 1960. The solicitor general of Florida or Florida solicitor general is the top appellate (appeals) solicitor (lawyer) for the U.S. State of Florida. A center fielder, abbreviated CF, is the outfielder in baseball who plays defense in center field – the baseball and softball fielding position between left field and right field. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the center fielder is assigned the number 8. Brian Wesley McRae (; born August 27, 1967) is a former center fielder in Major League Baseball who played for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago Cubs, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies and Toronto Blue Jays from to .
