Manama Incident
The Manama incident on August 26, 2010 involved the arrest in the Seef shopping mall in Manama, Bahrain, of Fakhria al-Singace, the sister of Dr Abdul Jalil Al-Singace, human-rights spokesperson for the Bahrain opposition Haq Movement. According to ''The New York Times'', three women wearing the niqāb and abaya entered the mall and unfurled a banner reading, "It is forbidden to arbitrarily arrest and detain people". Seef Mall
Seef Mall ( ar, مجمع السيف) is the second largest mall in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Managed by Seef Properties, the mall is located in the Seef district of the capital city, Manama. It attracts an average of 25,000 visitors a day. Location Seef Mall is directly connected to Fraser Suites at the western end of the mall. The Al Aali Shopping Complex is located near the eastern end at the entrance near the Marks and Spencer store. To the south is the Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Highway. National Security Agency (Bahrain)
The National Security Agency (NSA) or Bahrain Intelligence Agency (BIA1) ( ar, جهاز الأمن الوطني) is an investigating authority in Bahrain that is associated with but not formally part of the Ministry of the Interior. The NSA was formed after King Hamad issued Decree No. 14 of 2002 declaring it as the replacement of the General Directorate for State Security Investigations. The NSA was granted the power to make arrests by a 2008 royal decree, and lost this power in 2011, again by royal decree. Hamad Ibn Isa Al Khalifa
Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa ( ar, حمد بن عيسى بن سلمان آل خليفة '; 28 January 1950) is King of Bahrain since 14 February 2002, after ruling as Emir of Bahrain from 6 March 1999. He is the son of Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the previous and first emir. The country has been ruled by the House of Khalifa, Al Khalifa dynasty since 1783. Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa
Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa ( ar, خليفة بن سلمان آل خليفة) (24 November 1935 – 11 November 2020) was a Bahraini royal and politician who served as the Prime Minister of Bahrain from 10 January 1970 until his death in 2020. He took office over a year before Bahrain's independence on 15 August 1971. He was the longest-serving prime minister in the world. Under the 2002 Constitution he lost some of his powers, with the King now having the authority to appoint and (along with the Bahraini parliament) dismiss ministers.
