Roy Rowland (film Director)
Roy Rowland (December 31, 1910 – June 29, 1995) was an American film director. The New York-born director helmed a number of films in the 1950s and 1960s including ''Our Vines Have Tender Grapes'', ''Meet Me in Las Vegas'', ''Rogue Cop'', ''The 5000 Fingers of Doctor T'', and ''The Girl Hunters (film), The Girl Hunters''. Rowland married Ruth Cummings, the niece of Louis B. Mayer and sister of Jack Cummings (director), Jack Cummings (MGM producer/director). They had one son, Steve Rowland (record producer), Steve Rowland, born in 1932, who later became a music producer in the UK. Biography Early life Roy Rowland was born in Brooklyn, the son of Russian Jewish immigrants. The family moved to Edendale, Los Angeles, Edendale, California, when Roy was ten. Silvia Solar
Silvia Solar (20 March 19369 May 2011) was a French actress and prolific minor star in Spanish cinema. The majority of her appearances were in the 1960s and 1970s. Early life Solar was born Geneviève Couzain in Paris. Career Couzain won the title of "Miss France" at age 16. Shortly thereafter producer and director Henri Diamant-Berger cast Solar in her first film role. Her career spanned from the late 1950s through the early 1990s, starring in dozens of comedies, romances, drama, crime and spy thrillers as well as horror films. She played a main role in the Italian horror film ''Eyeball'' in 1975. That same year, she appeared alongside Paul Naschy in '' Night of the Howling Beast''. Alex Berg
Herbert Reinecker (24 December 1914 – 27 January 2007) was a very prolific German novelist, dramatist, screenwriter and former Nazi SS officer. Career Born in Hagen, Westphalia, Reinecker began to write short stories already as a high school student. In 1936 he moved to Berlin, where he became editor-in-chief of a youth magazine, ''Jungvolk''. In the same year he also co-authored a book, ''Jugend in Waffen'' (''Armed Youth''). This was a time when the Nazis had already been in power for three years and when the media had long been '' gleichgeschaltet''. In 1943 he joined the Nazi Party and worked as the editor-in-chief of a book entitled ''Der Pimpf'' about the training system of the Hitler Youth.
