Mami (Rock Opera)
Mami (Hebrew: מאמי, meaning ‘sweetie’) is an Israeli rock opera that was written by Hillel Mittelpunkt, Ehud Banai, and Yossi Mar Haim. Shefi Yishai and Yossi Elefant were responsible for musical production and arrangement. The first version of the opera came on stage in 1986, when the leading role was played by Mazi Cohen, and the supporting roles by Ehud Banai and Aryeh Moskuna. The opera appeared at the " Tzavta" Theatre, and was concerned with real political subjects, such as the occupation of the territories of the West Bank and Gaza (which was then nearing its twentieth year), the unequal discrimination of the residents of southern Israel, and Israeli militarism. The musical was adapted to an Israeli musical movie of the same name in 2019 starring Neta Elkaiam as the title role and Dudu Tassa as the narrator. A rock opera is a collection of rock music songs with lyrics that relate to a common story. Dudu Tassa
David "Dudu" Tassa ( he, דודו טסה; born February 10, 1977) is an Israeli rock musician, singer, songwriter and record producer of Mizrahi Jewish descent. Besides having had a successful solo career in Israel, Tassa has been the leader of the internationally acclaimed band Dudu Tassa & The Kuwaitis (2011– ) which plays new renditions of old Iraqi and Kuwaiti songs written and composed by Tassa's late grandfather and great-uncle, Daoud and Salih Al-Kuwaity. Life and musical career Tassa was born and raised in Hatikva Quarter in Tel Aviv, Israel, to a Mizrahi Jewish family from Iraq and Kuwait. He was active in the local community center during his childhood. Eran Tzur
Eran is an ancient town and archaeological site in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, India. It was one of the ancient mints for Indian dynasties as evidenced by the diverse coins excavated here. The site has 5th and 6th-century Gupta era temples and monuments, particularly the colossal stone boar with sages and scholars depicted on the body of the sculpture. The inscription stones found at Eran are important to reconstructing the chronology of Gupta Empire history. Biography Rivka Menashe (later Riki Gal) was born in 1950 to an Orthodox family in the poor neighborhood of Mea Shearim in Jerusalem.
