Mama Boy
''Mama Boy'' () is a 2022 Taiwanese romance drama film directed and co-written by Arvin Chen, and starring Kai Ko, Vivian Hsu, Sara Yu and Fandy Fan. The film had its world premiere on April 25, 2022, at the 24th Far East Film Festival. The film had a theatrical release in Taiwan on August 26, 2022. Synopsis The story describes the male protagonist Hsiao Hung, who is nearly 30 years old. Although his appearance is super handsome, Hong is not ready to lose his virginity and lives with his control-freak mother, Meiling. One day, under the introduction of his cousin, he met Lele, a woman who made him fall in love at first sight. A romantic love is here, it unfolds quietly at night in Taipei. Arvin Chen
Arvin Chen (born 26 November 1978) is a Taiwanese-American director and screenwriter. He is best known for his film ''Au Revoir Taipei.'' Early life Chen was born and raised in the United States. His parents were immigrants from Taiwan. He was born in Boston, grew up mostly in Foster City in the Bay Area, and attended U.C. Berkeley majoring in architecture. In 2006, he earned a MFA in film production at the University of Southern California. He is the cousin of freelance writer and rock musician Kaiser Kuo. Vivian Hsu ( Atayal: ; ; born March 19, 1975) is a Taiwanese singer and actress. Joanne Missingham (; born 26 May 1994) is an Australian-born Taiwanese professional Go player who has participated in international and domestic Go tournaments. She is the first Australian-born player to achieve a professional go ranking.
