Malta, New York
Malta is a town in Saratoga County, New York, United States. The town is in the central part of the county and is south of Saratoga Springs. The population was 17,130 as of the 2020 census. Malta, along with Stillwater, is home to the Luther Forest Technology Campus, a site designed for semiconductor and nanotechnology manufacturing and other innovative technologies. This campus includes GlobalFoundries, a company specializing in the semiconductor industry, which in April 2021 moved its headquarters from Silicon Valley, California to its semiconductor-chip manufacturing facility in Saratoga County near a section of the Adirondack Northway, in Malta. Saratoga Lake is a lake in the eastern part of Saratoga County, New York (state), New York. The lake is approximately long, about wide at its widest point, and about deep. The lake is bordered by the city of Saratoga Springs on the northwest, the town of Malta, New York, Malta on the southwest, the town of Stillwater, New York, Stillwater on the southeast, and the town of Saratoga, New York, Saratoga on the northeast. Ruhle Road Lenticular Metal Truss Bridge is a historic Lenticular truss bridge located in Malta, Saratoga County, New York. It was constructed in 1888 by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company of East Berlin, Connecticut, ''See also:'' and originally spanned the Black Creek in Salem, Washington County, New York. It was moved to its present location in 2001 and spans the Ballston Creek, where it is used by pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles. It replaced the Ruhle Road Stone Arch Bridge that collapsed in 1993 and subsequently delisted from the National Register of Historic Places. Dunning Street Cemetery
Dunning Street Cemetery is a historic rural cemetery located at Malta, Saratoga County, New York. The cemetery was established about 1775, and incorporated by the Dunning Street Cemetery Association in 1908. Round Lake, New York
Round Lake is a village in Saratoga County, New York, United States. The population was 1,245 at the 2020 census. The name is derived from a circular lake adjacent to the village. In 1975, the Round Lake Historic District, which encompasses the village, was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The Village of Round Lake is in the Town of Malta. History The village began in 1867 as a summer camp meeting locale for groups of Methodists. At first, visitors lived in tents, while visiting ministers could rent space in the second story of the meeting's passenger station.
