Mallujola Venugopal
Mallojula Venugopal, commonly known by his '' nom de guerre'' Abhay, is a Politburo and Central Military Commission member of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), a banned Maoist insurgent communist party in India. Family Venugopal is the younger brother of another Maoist guerrilla leader Kishenji. He was born into a poor family in Peddapalli in Karimnagar district, Telangana which eked out a living on priesthood in nearby temples. His grandfather and father Mallujola Venkataiyan both were Indian freedom fighters. Venugopal left home for more than 30 years after joining Left wing extremism. His wife Tara akka, also a maoist commander was killed in the encounter on 4 December 2018 along with Narmada Akka. Communist Party of India (CPI) is the oldest Marxist–Leninist communist party in India and one of the nine national parties in the country. The CPI was founded in modern-day Kanpur (formerly known as Cawnpore) on 26 December 1925. Anti-revisionism is a position within Marxism–Leninism which emerged in the 1950s in opposition to the reforms of Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev. Where Khrushchev pursued an interpretation that differed from his predecessor Joseph Stalin, the anti-revisionists within the international communist movement remained dedicated to Stalin's ideological legacy and criticized the Soviet Union under Khrushchev and his successors as state capitalist and social imperialist. The term Stalinism is also used to describe these positions, but it is often not used by its supporters who opine that Stalin simply synthesized and practiced orthodox Marxism and Leninism. Because different political trends trace the historical roots of revisionism to different eras and leaders, there is significant disagreement today as to what constitutes anti-revisionism. Operation Green Hunt
Operation Green Hunt is the name used by the Indian media to describe the "all-out offensive by paramilitary forces and the states forces" against the Naxalites. The operation is believed to have begun in November 2009 along five states in the "Red Corridor." The term was coined by the Chhattisgarh police officials to describe one successful drive against the Communist Party of India (Maoist) in the state. It was erroneously used by the media to describe the wider anti-Naxalite operations; the government of India does not use the term "Operation Green Hunt" to describe its anti-Naxalite offensive. Lalgarh, Jhargram
Lalgarh is a small town and a gram panchayat in the Binpur I CD block under the Jhargram subdivision of the Jhargram district in the Indian state of West Bengal. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is a federal police organisation in India under the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India. It is one among the Central Armed Police Forces. The CRPF's primary role lies in assisting the State/Union Territories in police operations to maintain law and order and counter-insurgency. It is composed of Central Reserve Police Force ( Regular) and Central Reserve Police Force (Auxiliary). It came into existence as the Crown Representative's Police on 27 July 1939. April 2010 Maoist Attack In Dantewada
The April 2010 Dantewada Maoist attack was an 6 April 2010 ambush by Naxalite-Maoist insurgents from the Communist Party of India (Maoist) near Chintalnar village in Dantewada district, Chhattisgarh, India, leading to the killing of 76 CRPF policemen and 8 Maoists — the deadliest attack by the Maoists on Indian security forces.
