Malli Pelli (1939 Film)
''Malli Pelli'' is a 1939 Indian Telugu-language social drama film directed by Y. V. Rao. The film swayed the imagination of the social reformers of the day, such as Ram Mohan Roy and Kandukuri Veeresalingam. Plot Janardhana Rao Panthulu (Balijepalli) is a lawyer. He was a fundamentalist who valued commitments to orthodox rituals. He marries his six-year-old daughter Lalita (Kanchanamala) to an old man and dies shortly after. The result is that Lalit becomes a widow at an early age. Elegant grows between serious commitments. A Swami named Kaliyuganandaswamy enters the house and Janardhana Rao enters the house. Balijepalli Lakshmikantha Kavi (23 December 1881 – 30 June 1953) was an Indian playwright, novelist, poet, screenwriter, actor and freedom fighter. He is remembered for the magnum opus ''Satya Harischandriyamu'', a play written in 1924, and for his works in Telugu cinema. Brief life He was born in Itikampadu village of Guntur district near Bapatla in 1881 to Narasimha Sastry and Adilakshmamma. After matriculation in Kurnool, he worked for some in the Sub-registrar office as Gumasta. He worked as teacher in Hindu College. Chittajallu Krishnaveni (born 24 December 1924), often known as C. Krishnaveni or simply Krishnaveni, is an Indian Telugu language actress, producer and playback singer. Kanchanamala (1917–1981) was an Indian actress known for her works in Telugu cinema. Personal life She was born in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh. During her childhood days, she went to live with her uncle who was a violin teacher. She was married to Gali Venkaiah, who died of tuberculosis. Career She started her film career in ''Srikrishna Tulabharam'', in a minor role as Mitravinda in 1935. The film was based on a play by Telugu cinema's first lyricist Chandala Kesava Dasu. Relangi played a bit role in the movie. She captured the audience with her beauty and played lead roles in films such as ''Veerabhimanyu'', ''Gruhalakshmi'' and ''Malapilla''. Koccharlakota Satyanarayana (2 April 1915 - 1969) was a Telugu film and drama actor and playback singer during the early period of Telugu cinema.Abhinava Ramudu, Kocharlakota Satyanarayana, Tholinati Gramaphone Gayakulu, Modali Nagabhushana Sharma, Creative Links Publications, Hyderabad, 2010, pp. 41-2.
