Aaron Mallett (born 26 September 1994) is an American hurdler. He was the 2020 Doha Diamond League and 2020 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships champion in the 110 metres hurdles. Biography Mallett was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended McCluer North High School and was a state champion in the 110 metres hurdles his junior year. From 2014 to 2017, Mallet was a member of the Iowa Hawkeyes track and field team, with his best collegiate finish being a bronze at the 2016 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 60 metres hurdles. Ronald Lawrence Mallett (born March 30, 1945) is an American theoretical physicist, academic and author. He has been a faculty member of the University of Connecticut since 1975 and is best known for his scientific position on the possibility of time travel. Early life and education Mallett was born in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania, on March 30, 1945, and grew up in The Bronx in New York City. When he was 10 years old, his father died at age 33 of a heart attack, which made him depressed and devastated. About one year later, at age 11, Mallett found a ''Classics Illustrated'' comic book version of H.G. Wells' ''The Time Machine''. Inspired by this literature, he resolved to travel back in time to save his father. This idea became a lifelong obsession and the basis of his research into time travel. Robert Mallet (15 March 1915 - 4 December 2002) was a French writer and academic. He was the first Dean of the University of Antananarivo. He was also the Rector of the Academy of Amiens, Rector-Chancellor of the Académie de Paris, one of the founders of and a professor of the University of Paris-VII, and Chairman of the board of directors of the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUPELF). In 1993 he was awarded the Prix mondial Cino Del Duca. Biography Mallet taught in Madagascar from 1959 to 1964, where he founded the Faculty of Letters at the University of Antananarivo, of which he was the first Dean. Robert Mallet (3 June 1810 – 5 November 1881) was an Irish geophysicist, civil engineer, and inventor who distinguished himself in research on earthquakes and is sometimes called the father of seismology. His son, Frederick Richard Mallet was a geologist who worked in India. Early life Mallet was born in Dublin, on 3 June 1810, the son of factory owner John Mallet.
