Beulah, Victoria
Beulah is a town in the southern Mallee region of Victoria, Australia. The town is in the Shire of Yarriambiack local government area, 395 kilometres north-west of the state capital, Melbourne. At the 2016 census, Beulah had a population of 329. History The town's name is taken from the Book of Isaiah, 62:4. In some English translations the word is given as "married" or "inhabited". Beulah was established on land that was once part of Brim station. Closer settlement began in the 1880s and the town site was proclaimed in 1891. A Post Office opened on May 6, 1891, and the railway from Warracknabeal opened on 5 January 1893. The line to Hopetoun opened on 6 March 1894. The Northern Mallee Football League (NMFL) was an Australian rules football formed in 1979 from the merging of the now defunct Tyrrell Football League with another local Mallee League. History The Northern Mallee Football League (NMFL) was an Australian rules football formed in 1979 from the merging of the now defunct Tyrrell Football League with another local Mallee League. Sunraysia Football League
The Sunraysia Football and Netball League, also known simply as the SFNL is an Australian rules league in the Sunraysia district of north-west Victoria and south-west New South Wales. The Golden Rivers Football Netball League (GRFNL) is an Australian rules football and netball organisation with clubs in north central Victoria and the western Riverina district of New South Wales. The League formed in 1919 and was known as the Kerang and District Football Association until 1944. In 1946 the league was reestablished as the Kerang and District Football League. In 1998 the League changed its name to the Golden Rivers Football League at the direction of the Victorian Country Football League, to better reflect its expansion beyond the immediate Kerang area. The Horsham & District Football League is an amateur Australian rules football league based in the Wimmera area of Western Victoria. History The league in its present form was created in 1946. Prior to World War 2 a number of local leagues existed around Horsham, shrinking to one in 1934. The clubs that played in the previous incarnation in 1934 were Green Park (which won the premiership), CYMS, Quantong, Adelphians, Church of England, Longerenong and Pimpinio Seconds. The clubs that played in 1946 were Kalkee (which won the premiership), Horsham Homers, Wonwondah, Jung, Wail, Laharum, RSL, Longerenong College, Taylors Lake and YCW. Patchewollock, Victoria
Patchewollock is a town in north-west Victoria, Australia. At the 2016 census, Patchewollock had a population of 133. The name Patchewollock originated from two Aboriginal words: ''putje'', plenty, and ''wallah'', porcupine grass. The town was first established after the First World War, when soldier settlement blocks were appearing in the area. A post office (originally a receiving office) opened on 27 July 1920. Tempy is a locality in Victoria, Australia, located approximately 136 km from Mildura, Victoria and south of Ouyen. The area was settled after the arrival of the railway, the Post Office opening on 18 July 1910.
