Malina Joshi ( ne, मलिना जोशी) (born 27 January 1989) is a Nepali actress and Miss Nepal 2011. Joshi won the coveted title, beating Gurung, when she delivered an impressive answer about women's dominance to the judges, that sealed her spot in the competition. She represented Nepal in Miss World 2011 which was held on 4 November 2011 in London. She was selected to perform Nepalese folk dance in the final day of the competition. She was also on the top-30 for Beauty with a Purpose title, a major award at Miss World Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. Miss Nepal ( ne, मिस नेपाल) is a national beauty pageant in Nepal. The winners are sent to Miss World, Miss Earth, Miss International, Miss Supranational. History Ever since the pageant started from 1994, historically the winner of the Miss Nepal pageant represented the Nepal in the Miss Asia Pacific. Shristi Shrestha ( ne, श्रीस्टी श्रेष्ठ, ), is a Nepalese model, actress and the winner of the Miss Nepal World 2012 pageant. She works in Nepali cinema. Miss Asia Pacific World is an annual beauty pageant held in South Korea. It has been subject to a number of controversies over rankings, bribes, and breast augmentation surgeries. In the 2014 Miss Asia Pacific World competition, May Myat Noe of Burma was crowned on 31 May 2014, but dethroned three months later.
