Malik Sulaiman
Captain (Naval) Malik bin Sulaiman (born 1968) is a Malaysian yachtsman and officer of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN). Born in June 1968, at Muar, Johor, Malaysia, he joined the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) at the age of 18. He was promoted to the rank of Captain (Capt) on 18 March 2016. His interest in sailing started at age 17. His debut in racing was made in the Armed Forces National Championship, and he won the competition. He was then 19 years old. The first boat that he has sailed is of Laser class. His primary training session started when he undergone his intern as a warfare electrician at HMAS Nirimba, Sydney, Australia. In addition, other than competing in ''Laser'' class, he has also competed in other classes including ''Dragon'', ''Enterprise'', 'J24'' and '' OK Dinghy''. Muar (district)
The Muar District is a district in Johor, Malaysia. Muar is located at the mouth of the Muar River, on the coast of the Straits of Malacca. The Muar District covers , with a population of 233,779 (2010). History The district was formerly divided administratively into Bandar Maharani municipality and Tangkak township. Upon upgrade of Tangkak sub-district to full-fledged Tangkak District (initially Ledang), Bandar Maharani is now administered by Muar Municipal Council (formerly South Muar Town Council, later Muar Town Council) under the Muar District Office, while Tangkak of Ledang is administered by Tangkak Town Council (formerly North Muar Town Council) under the Tangkak (formerly Ledang) District Office. The 1993 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 17th Southeast Asian Games were held in Singapore from 12 to 19 June 1993 with 29 sports in 440 events featured in this edition.
