Malik Akhmedilov
Malik Akhmedilov (russian: Малик Ахмедилов; c. 1976 – 11 August 2009), also known as Abdulmalik Akhmedilov, was a Russian investigative journalist based in the southern Republic of Dagestan. Career Akhmedilov was a leading investigative correspondent for the Avar language daily newspaper, '' Hakikat'' (ХIакъикъат, also transliterated as ''Khakikat''), which translates to "The Truth" in English. He also worked as the editor-in-chief of the political monthly, ''Sogratl'' (Согратль), which translates as "Mountain Village". ''Sogratl'' focuses on political issues and civics. Akhmedilov was known for his reports on several unsolved assassinations of officials in Dagestan. In columns in ''Hakikat'', Akhmedilov heavily criticized Russian federal forces and local law enforcement for curbing religious and political freedom under the guise of an "anti-extremism" campaign. Abdulla Alishayev
Abdulla Telman Alishayev (russian: link=no, Абдулла Тельман Алишаев; died 2 September 2008) was a Russian Dagestani journalist and writer. Alishayev was the television host of a popular mainstream Islamic television station in the Republic of Dagestan, a multi-ethnic Russian republic within the Caucasus region. Career Alishayev hosted a popular Islamic themed television program called ''Peace to Your Home'', which aired on TV Chirkey (TV-Chirkei), a mainstream Muslim television station. He was a prominent opponent of fundamentalist Islam within Dagestan and Russia. He had recently hosted and aired a documentary on TV Chirkey criticizing radical forms of Islam. Alishayev was particularly critical of Wahhabism, which had taken root in neighboring Chechnya, and actively advocated for more moderate forms of Islam. Zhiguli ( rus, Жигули, p=ʐɨɡʊˈlʲi) was a designation of cars based on the Fiat 124 manufactured in Russia and the Soviet Union by AvtoVAZ (formerly VAZ) during 1970-2012 and somewhat longer in some places abroad. For the majority of export markets however the cars were sold under the Lada brand. The car was also manufactured in Ukraine and in Egypt. In Egypt the last car of this model was manufactured in 2014. The designation is named after the Zhiguli Mountains by the Volga River, to match the name of the plant ('VAZ' stands for "Volzhsky Avtomobilny Zavod" or "Volga Automobile Plant"). Winchester rifle is a comprehensive term describing a series of lever action repeating rifles manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. Developed from the 1860 Henry rifle, Winchester rifles were among the earliest repeaters. The Model 1873 was particularly successful, being marketed by the manufacturer as "The Gun That Won the West". Predecessors In 1848, Walter Hunt of New York patented his "Volition Repeating Rifle" incorporating a tubular magazine, which was operated by two levers and complex linkages. The Hunt rifle fired what he called the "Rocket Ball", an early form of caseless ammunition in which the powder charge was contained in the bullet's hollow base.
