Malcolm D. Farr
Malcolm Douglas Farr (March 24, 1884 – April 28, 1956) was an American businessman and politician. Farr was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He went to the Kenosha public schools and to the Northwestern Military Academy. He was the president of the Independent Ice Company and the Sunshine Coal Company. Farr served in the Wisconsin Assembly in 1921 and 1922 as a Republican. He then moved to Phoenix, Arizona and was the chief executive of a pipe manufacturing company. Kenosha, Wisconsin
Kenosha () is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin and the seat of Kenosha County. Per the 2020 census, the population was 99,986 which made it the fourth-largest city in Wisconsin. Situated on the southwestern shore of Lake Michigan, Kenosha is part of the greater Chicago metropolitan area (Chicagoland) as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau. It also has longstanding connections to the Racine and Milwaukee areas to the north. Interstate 94 connects Kenosha to the Chicago and Milwaukee metro areas, and Kenosha itself is situated about halfway between each city. Kenosha was once a center of industrial activity; it was home to large automotive factories which fueled its economy. Wisconsin Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election. The Wisconsin Constitution limits the size of the State Assembly to between 54 and 100 members inclusive. Since 1973, the state has been divided into 99 Assembly districts apportioned amongst the state based on population as determined by the decennial census, for a total of 99 representatives.
