Malatya Spor Kulübü is a Turkish sports club based in Malatya, mainly concentrated on football. Previously their colors were yellow and black (prior to 1984). They played in Süper Lig, First League for 11 seasons. They are the first team located in Eastern Anatolia which qualified for a European cup, 2003–04 UEFA Cup. They relegated to amateur level after matches played on 31 March 2011. They finally relegated to Malatya First Amateur League after five successive relegation due to financial difficulties. Malatya İnönü Stadium ( tr, Malatya İnönü Stadı) was a multi-purpose stadium in Malatya, Turkey. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home ground of Yeni Malatyaspor, who moved to the new Malatya Arena. Turkish Regional Amateur League
The Turkish Regional Amateur League ( tr, Bölgesel Amatör Ligi) is the fifth tier of the Turkish football league system. The tier comprises a number (usually 11-13, varies by season) of groups across Turkey, each consisting of teams grouped according to the regions in which they are based. Every season, 9 teams are promoted to the TFF Third League while the bottom two teams of each group are relegated to the Super Amateur Leagues of their respective provinces. League status Turkish Regional Amateur League contains 149 teams which participate in eleven groups. 1 of these groups contains 12 teams, 3 of these groups contain 13 teams and the remaining 7 groups contain 14 teams.
