Maksym Burbak
Maksym Yurіiovich Burbak ( uk, Максим Юрійович Бурбак; born 13 January 1976) is a Ukrainian politician who briefly served as Ministry of Infrastructure (Ukraine), Minister of Infrastructure in the First Yatsenyuk government. He was a People's Deputy of Ukraine from 2012 until 2019, first as a member of the party Batkivshchyna, then as a member of the People's Front. In July 2015 he was elected parliamentary leader of the People's Front (Ukraine), People's Front parliamentary faction. Burbak is President of the NGO Interregional Agricultural Society (Chernivtsi). Chernivtsi National University (full name Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, uk, Чернівецький національний університет імені Юрія Федьковича) is a public university in the City of Chernivtsi in Western Ukraine. 2019 Ukrainian Parliamentary Election
Snap elections to the Ukrainian parliament were held on 21 July 2019. Originally scheduled to be held at the end of October, these elections were brought forward after newly inaugurated President of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dissolved parliament on 21 May 2019, during his inauguration. The election result was the one-party majority, a novelty in Ukraine, for President Zelenskyy's Servant of the People party with 254 seats. About 80 percent of the elected candidates were new to parliament; 83 deputies managed to get reelected from 8th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, the previous parliament and 13 deputies from earlier convocations. All deputies from Servant of the People were political newcomers. 61 percent of the new MPs had never before been engaged in politics.
