Make A Way
"Make a Way" is a song from the band Blondie's tenth studio album ''Ghosts of Download''. It was released officially along with the rest of the album in May 2014, although it was released before that as a free digital download with tickets to the band's 2013 North American tour. Background and release The song was first announced during a March 2013 edition of US radio show Soundcloud, where Debbie Harry and Chris Stein guested. Stein spoke briefly about the origins of the song, and how he initially began to experiment with "a Turkish groove" that evolved into a more dance-influenced pop song. He said he wrote it with Jeff Saltzman, who also produced it, and a minute-long sample was played. Blondie is an American Rock music, rock band co-founded by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. The band was a pioneer in the American New wave music, new wave scene of the mid-1970s in New York. Their first two albums contained strong elements of Punk rock, punk and new wave, and although highly successful in the UK and Australia, Blondie was regarded as an underground music, underground band in the U.S. until the release of ''Parallel Lines'' in 1978. The two-disc package consists of ''Greatest Hits Deluxe Redux'', a collection of re-recordings of Blondie's past singles, and the band's tenth studio album, ''Ghosts of Download''. The latter spawned three singles: "A Rose by Any Name", " Sugar on the Side", and " I Want to Drag You Around". Background and recording Blondie began working on their tenth studio album shortly after the release of '' Panic of Girls'' (2011). Caroline Records is a record label originally founded in 1973. Initially founded in the United Kingdom to showcase British progressive rock groups, the label ceased releasing titles in 1976, and then re-emerged in the United States in 1986. Christopher Stein (born January 5, 1950) is an American musician known as the co-founder and guitarist of the new wave band Blondie. He is also a producer and performer for the classic soundtrack of the hip hop film '' Wild Style'', and writer of the soundtrack for the film '' Union City'', as well as an accomplished photographer.
