''Make Your Own Damn Movie!'' is both a book and a DVD set about Troma Entertainment and independent film in general. Book ''Make Your Own Damn Movie!: Secrets of a Renegade Director'' is written by Lloyd Kaufman (with Adam Jahnke and Trent Haaga) published by St. Martin's, in 2003. Kaufman is the co-founder of B-movie company Troma Entertainment and the director of such films as '' The Toxic Avenger'', '' Class of Nuke 'Em High'', and '' Terror Firmer''. Lloyd Kaufman
Stanley Lloyd Kaufman Jr. (born December 30, 1945) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. Alongside producer Michael Herz, he is the co-founder of Troma Entertainment film studio, and the director of many of their feature films, such as '' The Toxic Avenger'' and '' Tromeo and Juliet''. Many of the strategies employed by him at Troma have been credited with making the film industry significantly more accessible and decentralized. Matt Stone
Matthew Richard Stone (born May 26, 1971) is an American actor, animator, filmmaker, and composer. He is known for co-creating ''South Park'' (since 1997) and ''The Book of Mormon'' (2011) with his creative partner Trey Parker. Stone was interested in film and music as a child and at high school, and attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where he met Parker. The two collaborated on various short films, and starred in the feature-length musical ''Cannibal! The Musical'' (1993). Troma
Troma Entertainment is an American independent film production and distribution company founded by Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz in 1974. The company produces low-budget independent films, primarily of the horror comedy genre. Many of them play on 1950s horror with elements of farce, parody, gore and splatter. In 2012, the company officially released many of its films on YouTube. However, their YouTube channel was eventually terminated for not meeting community standards. ''Squeeze Play!'' is a 1979 American comedy film directed by Lloyd Kaufman. Plot A group of New Jersey women, upset over their boyfriends' tendency to pay more attention to softball than their love lives, decide to beat them at their own game...literally. The girls form their own softball team and challenge the men to a match out on the field. The men initially scoff at the idea, but soon grow nervous when they worry that they'll lose face if they refuse to play. Production The idea of ''Squeeze Play!'' came from a suggestion that Kaufman and Herz should make a movie about a women's softball team and their amorous adventures. Kaufman added the comedy element, and along with his brother Charles and screenwriter Haim Pekelis, a 75-page screenplay was finally worked out; the Kaufmans provided the ideas for sight gags and jokes, and Pekelis worked out the plot.
