Make Me Prime Minister
''Make Me Prime Minister'' is a 2022 British reality game show. The programme features political tasks said to be based on the role of Prime Minister in the United Kingdom. The series features contestants competing to be made Channel 4's "alternative prime minister". The critical response to the programme has been mixed but broadly negative. Production and format The programme is co-produced by Twofour, Accidentally on Purpose (AOP) and Motion Content Group, and is funded by Channel 4. There are six episodes, the first of which aired on 27 September. The programme required contestants to complete tasks modelled on government and politics in a structure similar to ''The Apprentice''. They were guided by Alastair Campbell and Sayeeda Warsi. Andrew Pierce (born Patrick Connolly) is a British journalist, editor, author, broadcaster and political commentator. Early life Pierce was born in Bristol to a Roman Catholic Irish mother and an unknown father. He spent the first two years of his life in Nazareth House, a Catholic orphanage in Cheltenham, and was adopted by a family from Swindon and brought up on a council estate there. His adoptive father worked on the assembly line at British Leyland, a former state-owned car factory. Pippa Crerar (born 19 June 1976) is a British journalist who is the political editor of ''The Guardian''. She was previously the ''Daily Mirror''s political editor from 2018 to 2022. While at the ''Mirror'', she reported extensively on Partygate, a political scandal which culminated in the resignation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Early life Crerar was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on 19 June 1976. She spent her childhood in Edinburgh and in Glasgow, where she attended The Glasgow Academy.
