Majeure is an American space rock and kraut rock outlet for the Pittsburgh based musician Anthony E. Paterra. He has released four studio albums, two collaborations, an EP and a remix EP. As Majeure, Paterra has performed live internationally. Career At the age of 12, Paterra became interested in electronic music after seeing the film '' Dawn of the Dead'', which featured music by Goblin. During his teens, Paterra took up drumming and developed an interest in progressive rock, sci-fi and horror soundtracks. In the early 2000s drummer Paterra formed the band Zombi together with Steve Moore. They released four albums together and toured as support to Isis, Trans Am and The Psychic Paramount. In 2007 the band ceased touring and Paterra began to explore his solo recordings while continuing to collaborate with Moore. ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. Schreiber started Pitchfork while working at a record store in suburban Minneapolis, and the website earned a reputation for its extensive coverage of indie rock music. It has since expanded and covers all kinds of music, including pop. Pitchfork was sold to Condé Nast in 2015, although Schreiber remained its editor-in-chief until he left the website in 2019. Steve Moore (musician)
Steve Moore is an American, New York-based multi-instrumentalist/producer/film composer, best known for his synthesizer and bass guitar work with Zombi. Moore also plays bass guitar for Brooklyn progressive rock band Titan, and has worked with Microwaves, Red Sparowes, Lair of the Minotaur, Ghost, Goblin, Maserati, Municipal Waste, Sally Shapiro and Panthers. Moore releases solo material as well, occasionally adopting pseudonyms (such as dance/pop alter-ego Lovelock). His solo work also includes film scores, predominantly low-budget horror films, and remixes for a wide range of artists including Washed Out, Lower Dens, Voivod and The Melvins. Moog Source
The Moog Source is a monophonic Z80 microprocessor-controlled analog synthesizer manufactured by Moog Music from 1981 to 1985. The Source was Moog's first synthesizer to offer patch memory storage. The design was also the first (and only) Moog synthesizer to feature a flat-panel membrane keyboard to replace the standard buttons, knobs and sliders, along with multihued panel graphics that were very different from anything Moog offered at the time. Sound wise it is considered to sound more like the original Moog Minimoog than any other synthesizer made by Moog and was introduced as its replacement. The Evolver is an analog-digital hybrid synthesizer designed by Dave Smith and manufactured by Dave Smith Instruments. It was first released as a desktop version in 2002, then later a 37-key keyboard bearing the same synth engine as the Evolver desktop was also released. A polyphonic version of the Evolver, dubbed the Poly Evolver, was released in 2004 as a rackmount version, then a 61-key keyboard version of the Poly Evolver was released in 2005. Black Strobe (sometimes Blackstrobe) is an electroclash group formed in Paris in 1997 by record producer Arnaud Rebotini and DJ Ivan Smagghe. They were instrumental in the rise of the electroclash movement in the UK with their breakthrough single "Me and Madonna". Originally producing in the house genre, they later became more influenced by music from the 1970s and 1980s, especially industrial post punk and European electronic body music. Justin Broadrick
Justin Karl Michael Broadrick (born 15 August 1969) is an English musician, singer and songwriter. He is best known as the lead singer and a founding member of the band Godflesh, one of the first bands to combine elements of extreme metal and industrial music. Following Godflesh's initial breakup in 2002, Broadrick formed the band Jesu. He was briefly in the English grindcore band Napalm Death when he was a teenager in the mid-1980s, writing and recording guitar for their debut album, '' Scum''.
