Maj-Britt Andersen
Maj Britt Andersen (born 15 November 1956) is a Norwegian singer. Biography She was born in Østre Toten and is a sister of Inger Lise Rypdal. Her album ''Folk er rare'' from 1986 earned her Spellemannprisen. She was singing in the soul group Chipahua in the 1980s. She has also issued albums with texts by Alf Prøysen (''Kjærtegn'' from 1992 and ''Dørstokken heme'' from 2004). Andersen has also been a member of Asker municipal council for one term, representing a local party. Since 1983 she has been married to the bassist and music producer Geir Holmsen. Lena, Norway
Lena is a village in Østre Toten Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located about to the southwest of the village of Kapp and the lake Mjøsa. The village has a population (2021) of 1,245 and a population density of . The urban area of Lena also includes part of the village of Kraby, just to the east. Lena is a commercial center for the municipality and is surrounded by mostly farmland. In central Lena, there are several shops and three schools (upper secondary, lower secondary, and primary schools). Toten folk high school is also located in Lean. The distance from Lena to Oslo is roughly (as the crow flies) and by road. The town of Gjøvik is away and Norway's largest airport, Oslo Airport, Gardermoen (OSL), is by road. It is one of the oldest and biggest independent record companies in Norway today. Geir Holmsen
Geir Holmsen (born 12 December 1956 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician, bassist, arranger and composer, and married 1983 to the singer Maj Britt Andersen. He participated in various bands connected to the jazz club Club 7 in Oslo, from the mid-1970s, including "Kråbøl", "Lotus" and "Chipahua". He is also known from "Jon Eberson Group" (1980–84), "Jazzpønkensemblet" (1982–85) and "Oslo Rhythm & Blues Ensemble" (1986–87). Career Holmsen is educated at the Norges Musikkhøgskole, and did composition studies with Gunnar Sønstevold and Maj Sønstevold, now Professor of Music at the University of Agder (UiA). In the 1970s he took part in jazz bands led by Terje Lie, Paul Weeden, Espen Rud and Ditlef Eckhoff. In the 1980s, Holmsen was within Chipahua, Jon Eberson Group and Jazzpunkensemblet. Asker ( no, Asker), properly called Askerbygda in Norwegian, is a district and former Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Akershus, Norway.
