Maison Et Objet
Maison et Objet is a major French trade fair for interior design. Held bi-annually in Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, it has been described as "among the 3 most important European events for interior design ... a huge collection of innovation and talent all in one place." Maison et Objet in Beijing "M&O Design Pavilion at WF CENTRAL" was a collaboration between Maison et Objet and WF Central, a luxury retail mall in Wangfujing, Beijing. The exhibition lasted from 16 September to 18 November 2018. The special exhibition, which marks the initial entry of M&O to the China consumer market, followed the theme LOVE DESIGN and feature over 30 selected brands and six M&O Designers of the Year. Tokujin Yoshioka
is a Japanese designer and artist. He is active in the fields of design, architecture and contemporary art, and he is internationally acclaimed for his works dealing with light and nature. Many of his works chosen as part of permanent collections in museums worldwide, including Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Le Centre national d’art et de culture Georges-Pompidou (Centre Pompidou) in Paris, and Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Odile Decq
Odile Decq (born 1955 in Laval, France) is a French architect, urban planner and academic. She is the founder of the Paris firm, Studio Odile Decq and the architecture school, Confluence Institute. Decq is known for her unique, self-described goth appearance and style. Education In the 1970s, Odile Decq first entered École Régionale d'Architecture de Rennes. She was told by the first year director that she would never become an architect because she did not possess the right spirit. She completed two years at Rennes, then moved to Paris, where she enrolled at La Villette (formerly called UP6). Tom Dixon (industrial Designer)
Tom Dixon, OBE (born 21 May 1959 in Sfax, Tunisia) is a self-taught British designer. He is best known as the Creative Director of the eponymous brand 'Tom Dixon', which specializes in the design of lighting, furniture and accessories. His works have been acquired by museums across the globe, including London's Victoria and Albert Museum, the Museum of Modern Art New York and Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, France Career Tom Dixon was the bass guitarist in the band Funkapolitan. Sato Oki
Oki Sato (佐藤 オオキ, Satō Ōki, born 24 December 1977) is a Japanese architect, designer, and the founder of the Nendo design studio. He was born in Toronto, Canada, attended Waseda University in Tokyo and graduated in 2002 with a Masters of Arts degree in architecture. He subsequently founded Nendo in his parents garage in Tokyo. He has said that "Design is about making decisions. A person can only make a certain amount of decisions each day, 's really important to keep your mind empty." Ilse Catherine Crawford (born 1962) is a British interior and furniture designer. Early life and education Crawford was born in London in 1962 to Jill Rendall and Malcom Crawford.
