Main Street U.S.A.
Main Street, U.S.A. is the first "themed land" inside the main entrance of the many theme parks operated or licensed by The Walt Disney Company around the world. Main Street, U.S.A. is themed to resemble American small towns during the early 20th Century. In Tokyo Disneyland, it is called World Bazaar and covered by a glass Victorian architecture, Victorian-style Conservatory (greenhouse), conservatory roof to shield guests from the weather there. At Shanghai Disneyland, it is called Mickey Avenue and is orientated to help introduce visitors to Disney characters. Each Main Street, U.S.A. (except in Tokyo and Shanghai) has a train station along the park's respective Rail transport in Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Disney railroad above the entrance. The area closest to the entrance, usually just past the train station, is called Town Square. Ubbe Ert Iwwerks (March 24, 1901 – July 7, 1971), known as Ub Iwerks ( ), was an American animator, cartoonist, character designer, inventor, and special effects technician. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Iwerks grew up with a contentious relationship with his father, who abandoned him as a child. Iwerks met fellow artist Walt Disney while working at a Kansas City art studio in 1919. After briefly working as illustrators for a local newspaper company, Disney and Iwerks ventured into animation together. Enchanted Storybook Castle
Enchanted Storybook Castle is a castle in Shanghai Disneyland. Similarly to the Castle of Magical Dreams in Hong Kong Disneyland, it represents all of the Disney Princesses and not only one. Additionally, it is the tallest castle in all of the related Disney theme parks. It replaced Walt Disney World’s Cinderella Castle as the tallest castle in any Disney Park. The look of Enchanted Storybook Castle was inspired by many other Disney Castles, including Cinderella Castle and Sleeping Beauty Castle.
