''Maidaan'' () is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical sports drama film directed by Amit Sharma and produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. Based on the golden era of Indian football (1952–1962), it stars Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim along with Priyamani, Rudranil Ghosh and Gajraj Rao. The music is composed by A. R. Rahman. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on 12 May 2023. Syed Abdul Rahim
Syed Abdul Rahim (17 August 1909 – 11 June 1963), popularly known as Rahim Saab, was an Indian football coach and manager of the Indian national team from 1950 until his death in 1963, and a former player.
