Mahtab Servati ( fa, مهتاب ثروتی; born January 22, 1992) is an Iranian actress. She is best known for her performance in ''There Is No Evil'' (2020)'','' which won the Golden Bear at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival. Servati later gained recognition and popularity through her web series roles in ''Once Upon a Time in Iran'' (2021–2022) and ''The Translator'' (2023). Early life and career Early life Mahtab Servati was born on January 22, 1992, in Tehran, Iran. She initially studied photography but later quit it due to her "lack of interest". Her photography activities were mostly in the field of theater and behind the scenes photography. She worked as photographer in ''Rouhollah'' television series, ''My Gloomy Butterflies in a Wonderful Spring Morning'' theater, and ''The Last Whisper'' television film (all in 2013). 70th Berlin International Film Festival
The 70th annual Berlin International Film Festival took place from 20 February to 1 March 2020. It was the first under the leadership of new Berlin Film Festival heads, business administration director Mariette Rissenbeek and artistic director Carlo Chatrian. The festival opened with the opening gala presented by actor Samuel Finzi followed by the world premiere of the film ''My Salinger Year'' which was selected for the Berlinale Special section. The Golden Bear was awarded to the Iranian film ''There Is No Evil'', directed by Mohammad Rasoulof. Rasoul Sadrameli ( fa, رسول صدرعاملی; born 1954 in Isfahan) is an Iranian film director, screenwriter, journalist and film producer. The Managing Director of MILAD FILM (established in 1979, the first company in distribution and production of Iranian films after revolution) began his journalism career while he was just 17, and he collaborated with Etela'at Newspaper as reporter, storywriter and editor of Incident page and then as the Editor of Parliamentary Service. He studied sociology at Paul Valéry university of Montpellier in France. He began his professional activities in the Cinema by production of a film entitled Blood Raining in 1981. Kolbar
A kolbar ( fa, کول‌بر) or kolber ( ku, کۆڵبەر) or cross-border labor is a worker who is employed to carry goods on his/her back across the borders of Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey legally or illegally. Most kolbars live in Iranian Kurdistan, where the Kurdish provinces are among the poorest in the country. Kolbars also live in Turkish Kurdistan and to a lesser extent Iraqi Kurdistan. Since kolbar work is mostly considered illegal, kolbar workers have no insurance, retirement plans and unions. Among the kolbars are highly educated young people, who have no job because of high unemployment in Kurdish provinces. According to Iranian statistics, only in the Kurdistan Province more than twenty thousand people depend on being a kolbar for sustenance.
