Mahncke Park
Mahncke Park is an urban neighborhood and park located on the eastern fringe of Midtown San Antonio, Texas, USA. The park connects the San Antonio Botanical Gardens to Brackenridge Park. The surrounding neighborhood was built around Mahncke Park. The park is a long, narrow strip of natural green space laid out on an east–west axis between Parland and Funston Streets. The east end is bounded by N. New Braunfels and the Botanical Gardens and the west end is bounded by Broadway and Brackenridge Park. San Antonio Botanical Garden
The San Antonio Botanical Garden is a , non-profit botanical garden in San Antonio, Texas, United States, and the city's official botanical garden. History The garden was first conceived in the 1940s by Mrs. R. R. Witt and Mrs. Joseph Murphy, who organized the San Antonio Garden Center. The two went on to develop a master plan for a city botanical center in the late 1960s. The site of the master plan was a former limestone quarry and waterworks area owned by the city. Voters approved $265,000 in bonds in 1970, which was the catalyst for funding the new gardens. Ground was broken for the new facilities on July 21, 1976 and the San Antonio Botanical Gardens officially opened to the public on May 3, 1980. The gardens have had two major additions since opening. Brackenridge Park
Brackenridge Park is a 343-acre public park in San Antonio, Texas, USA, on the city's Broadway Corridor just north of downtown San Antonio. Brackenridge Park also refers to the district of the city where the park is located. History It was created in 1899 from land donated to the city by George Washington Brackenridge. Pearl Brewery
The Pearl Brewing Company (also known as the Pearl Brewery or just Pearl) was an American brewery established in 1883 in Downtown San Antonio, Texas, United States. In 1985, Pearl's parent company purchased the Pabst Brewing Company and assumed the Pabst name. In 1999, the Pabst Brewing Company began transferring its production to Miller Brewing on a contract basis and closed all of its own breweries. Pearl beer is still in production at Miller's Fort Worth, Texas facility, but the Pearl Brewery in San Antonio was closed in 2001. It also serves as the urban core of Greater San Antonio, a metropolitan area with nearly 2.5 million people. Terrell Hills is a city in Bexar County, Texas, United States; it is located northeast of downtown San Antonio. As of the 2020 census Terrell Hills had a population of 5,045.
