His American work includes pinups for ''Savage Dragon'' #124 and ''Invincible (comics), Invincible'' #20, and for co-creating, with writer Jay Faerber, the series ''Dynamo 5'', which debuted in March 2007 from Image Comics. The New York Comic Con is an annual New York City fan convention dedicated to Western comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, cosplay, toys, movies, and television. It was first held in 2006. Erik J. Larsen (born December 8, 1962) is an American comic book artist, writer, and publisher. He currently acts as the chief financial officer of Image Comics. He gained attention in the early 1990s with his art on Spider-Man series for Marvel Comics. In 1992 he was one of several artists who stopped working for Marvel to found Image Comics, where he launched his superhero series ''Savage Dragon'' – one of the longest running creator-owned superhero comics series – and served for several years as the company's publisher.
