Mahmoud El Khatib
Mahmoud Ibrahim Ibrahim El Khatib ( ar, محمود إبراهيم إبراهيم الخطيب; born 30 October 1954), popularly nicknamed Bibo ( ar, بيبو), is an Egyptian retired footballer and current President of Al Ahly. He is widely regarded as one of the best players in African football history. Education Cooperation Institute (معهد التعاون) Career Born in Qarqirah, Dakahlia, El Khatib played his entire career at Al Ahly, where he won ten Egyptian Premier Leagues, five Egypt Cups, two African Cup of Champions and three African Cup Winners' Cup. In addition, he won the 1986 Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt. In 2004, he became the vice-president of Al Ahly, before being elected as president in 2017. IFFHS
The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) is an organisation that chronicles the history and records of association football. It was founded in 1984 by Alfredo Pöge in Leipzig. The IFFHS was based in Abu Dhabi for some time but, in 2010, relocated to Bonn, Germany, and then in 2014 to Zürich. From its early stages to 2002, the IFFHS concentrated on publishing the quarterly magazines ''Fußball-Weltzeitschrift'', ''Libero spezial deutsch'' and ''Libero international''. The Africa Cup of Nations referred to as AFCON (french: Coupe d'Afrique des Nations, sometimes referred to as CAN, or TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations for sponsorship reasons), and sometimes as African Cup of Nations, is the main international men's association football competition in Africa. It is sanctioned by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and was first held in 1957. Since 1968, it has been held every two years, switching to odd-numbered years in 2013.
