Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum
The Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum ( ms, Makam Diraja Mahmoodiah) is a Royal Mausoleum of Johor located at Bukit Mahmoodiah in Jalan Mahmoodiah, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The first Sultan of Johor buried here was Sultan Abu Bakar in 1895. Besides that, the founder of UMNO, Dato' Onn Jaafar (died on 1962) was buried next to his father, Dato Jaafar bin Muhammad's grave (died in 1919). Architecture The Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum was built in 1895. The mausoleum architecture is a combination of Victorian, Moorish and local Malay styles. Johor Bahru
Johor Bahru (), colloquially referred to as JB, is the capital city of the state of Johor, Malaysia. It is located at the southern end of Peninsular Malaysia,along the north bank of the Straits of Johor, opposite of the city-state Singapore. Skudai (also spelled Sekudai) is a suburb in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru District, Johor, Malaysia. Skudai is part of the new growth corridor of southwest Johor. Tunku Puan Zanariah binti Almarhum Tengku Ahmad, formerly known as Sultanah Zanariah ( Jawi:تونكو ڤوان زنيرة بنت المرحوم تڠکو احمد) (5 July 1940 – 17 March 2019),Information Malaysia (1985), pg 58 was the second wife of Sultan Iskandar of Johor from their marriage in 1961 until his death in 2010.
