Mah E Mir
''Mah e Mir'' ( ur, , lit=Moon of Mir) is a 2016 Pakistani biographical film directed by Anjum Shahzad, produced by Khurram Rana, Sahir Rasheed, Badar Ikram and written by Sarmad Sehbai. The film is based on the life of the famous poet Mir Taqi Mir, role played by Fahad Mustafa. Film also stars Iman Ali, Sanam Saeed, Alyy Khan and Manzar Sehbai in lead roles. It was the official submission by the Pakistani Academy Selection Committee as the country's entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards but it was not nominated. Mah-e-Mir is a story that follows the struggle of a contemporary poet and draws parallels with events in Mir’s life. The film was co-distributed by Hum Films and Eveready Pictures on 6 May 2016 nationwide. Anjum Shahzad
Anjum Shahzad is a Pakistani TV and film director, producer, writer, actor and a philanthropist. Shahzad rose to fame and is best known for his role as Bobby in the critically acclaimed and madly-followed comedy series ''Family Front'' in the 90s. The situational comedy earned him PTV Award for Best Debut Actor for his role as Bobby. Though he earned his M.A. in economics from Punjab University, his passion for the performing arts led him to a drama school in Lahore where he completed a long course in theatre arts. Pakistani Academy Selection Committee
The Pakistani Academy Selection Committee (PASC) is a non-governmental selection committee of Pakistani film director, producers, writers, actors, distributors and exhibitors, headquartered in Karachi and Lahore. The PASC selects the Pakistani Official entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film each year. However, submission is not bound to Foreign Language category, if meets with the eligibility requirements of Academy's rules, it is permissible for every competitive award. ''Jago Pakistan Jago'' () was a Pakistani daytime television programme broadcast on Hum TV presented by Fahad Mustafa (2008–14) and Sanam Jung (2014-18). The show aired from Monday to Friday.
