Magnus Racing is an Auto racing, automobile racing team based in Tooele, Utah, currently competing in the International Motor Sports Association, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The team was established in 2010 by John Potter (racing driver), John Potter and runs Honda NSX (second generation)#GT3, Acura NSX GT3 car in the series. History The team finished fifth in GT in its debut in the 2010 24 Hours of Daytona and was a regular competitor in the Rolex Sports Car Series season before making its American Le Mans Series debut at the season-ending Petit Le Mans, finishing third in the GTC class. In 2011, Magnus competed in a full-season in the Rolex Sports Car Series and select races of the American Le Mans Series. Andy Lally
Andrew J. Lally (born February 11, 1975) is an American professional auto racing driver. He competes full-time in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, driving the Audi R8 for Magnus Racing and previously part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 78 Ford Mustang for Live Fast Motorsports and part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 44 Chevrolet Camaro for Alpha Prime Racing. Craig Stanton (born October 31, 1960 in Hollywood, California) is an American race car driver and bicyclist. Stanton won the Grand-Am Koni Challenge championship in 2004 in the GS class, and then won the Grand-Am Rolex Series championship in 2005 in the GT class. Stanton also works as a driving coach. As of 2013, Craig is driving various Porsches in Grand-Am, ALMS, and World-Challenge this year, participating in all major North American tin-top pro series. Spencer Pumpelly (born December 28, 1974) is an American professional racing driver who competes part-time in IMSA, driving the No. 44 Acura NSX GT3 for Magnus Racing with Archangel Motorsports. René Rast
René Rast (born 26 October 1986 in Minden) is a German professional racing driver and the 2017, 2019 and 2020 DTM champion. He previously drove for Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler in Formula E from 2019 to 2021 before Audi left the sport at the end of 2021. He claimed overall wins at the 2012 and 2014 24 Hours of Spa, 2014 24 Hours of Nurburgring and a class win at the 2012 24 Hours of Daytona. Richard Lietz
Richard Lietz (born 17 December 1983 in Waidhofen an der Ybbs) is an Austrian professional racing driver and a Porsche Factory driver. He has competed in such series as American Le Mans Series, Formula 3 Euro Series and the Rolex Sports Car Series. He is also a multiple race-winner in Porsche Supercup. Lietz was overall series champion in the 2007 International GT Open season with Swiss driver Joël Camathias. He has won the GT2 class of the Le Mans Series twice, alongside German driver Marc Lieb in both in the 2009 and 2010 seasons. 2012 24 Hours Of Daytona
The 2012 Rolex 24 at Daytona was a long-distance motor race for sports cars conforming to the regulations of the Grand-Am Road Racing series. The race was held over a duration of 24 hours, starting at 3:30pm on Saturday, January 28, finishing at 3:30pm the following day. The race was held on the sports car version of Daytona International Speedway, which includes only a portion of the NASCAR Superspeedway course and a loop of circuit which winds through the infield of the speedway. 2012 was the 50th running of the race which had begun as a three-hour duration sports car race in 1962. The race was also the opening round of the 2012 Rolex Sports Car Series season. A field of 14 Daytona Prototypes took the start of the race along with a grid of 44 of the slower roadcar-based Grand Touring class cars.
