Magnus Lindgren (chef)
Carl Magnus Lindgren (April 4, 1982 – November 19, 2012) was a Swedish chef. Lindgren was a senior chef at celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal’s flagship restaurant The Fat Duck, the Michelin-starred restaurant in Bray, Berkshire. Death Lindgren died in November 2012 in a car accident in Hong Kong. He and British chef Jorge Arango Herrera were killed when the taxi they were riding in was crushed between two double-decker buses in Shau Kei Wan, a district in eastern Hong Kong island. Lindgren and Herrera, along with 53-year-old taxi driver Wong Kim-chung, were trapped in the cab for more than an hour before firemen could free them from the wreckage, they were all declared dead at hospital. More than 50 other people were also injured in the accident. Heston Blumenthal
Heston Marc Blumenthal (; born 27 May 1966) is a British celebrity chef, TV personality and food writer. Blumenthal is regarded as a pioneer of multi-sensory cooking, food pairing and flavour encapsulation. He came to public attention with unusual recipes, such as bacon-and-egg ice cream and snail porridge. His recipes for triple-cooked chips and soft-centred Scotch eggs have been widely imitated. He has advocated a scientific approach to cooking, for which he has been awarded honorary degrees from Reading, Bristol and London universities and made an honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. The Fat Duck is a fine dining restaurant in Bray, Berkshire, England. It is run by celebrity chef proprietor Heston Blumenthal. Housed in a 16th-century building that had previously been the site of the Bell pub, the Fat Duck opened on 16 August 1995. Although it originally served food similar to that of a French bistro, it soon acquired a reputation for precision and invention, and has been at the forefront of many modern culinary developments, such as food pairing, flavour encapsulation and multi-sensory cooking. Bray, occasionally Bray on Thames, is a large suburban village and civil parish in the English county of Berkshire. Shau Kei Wan or Shaukiwan is a neighborhood in the Eastern District of Hong Kong Island.
