Magnus Falkberget
Magnus Falkberget (October 10, 1900 – December 4, 1957) was a Norwegian actor. He was the founder and artistic director of the Falkberget Theater ( no, Falkbergets teater) from 1929 to 1957. Falkberget debuted as an actor in 1920, and he worked at the Drabløs Theater, among other venues. In the same year, he played his first and only film role as a neighbor boy in ''Fante-Anne''. Magnus Falkberget established the Falkberget Theater in 1929 and was its director until its last tour in 1957. The theater received no government support and was known for its popular repertoire. The Falkberget Theater had its greatest success staging ''Bør Børson'' with Toralf Sandø in the title role. With its nationwide tours, the theater was a predecessor to the National Traveling Theater (''Riksteatret''). Røros
Røros ( sma, Plaassja, ) is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Røros. Some of the villages in Røros include Brekken, Glåmos, Feragen, Galåa, and Hitterdalen. The mining town of Røros (the administrative centre of the municipality) is sometimes called ''Bergstaden'' which means "mountain town" due to its historical notoriety for copper mining. It is one of two towns in Norway that were historically designated "mining towns", along with the "silver-town" of Kongsberg. Bør Børson
''Bør Børson jr.'' is a satirical novel from the boom period during World War I, written by Norwegian writer Johan Falkberget. It was first published as a feuilleton in the satirical magazine '' Hvepsen'' in 1917, then again printed as a feuilleton in the newspaper '' Nidaros'', and issued as a book in 1920. The story was a great success, and has later been adapted into two films ( one in 1938 and one in 1974), a comedy, a musical, and a comic series. Plot "Bør Børson Olderstad" is a farmer's son from the fictional valley Olderdalen. Dreaming about money, wealth and a position at the board of the local savings bank, he has changed his last name to Børson, and started a local grocery store. The name Børson is a paraphrase of the Norwegian word ', from french: bourse, in en, stock market. Via various burlesque episodes he eventually ends up as a millionaire. ''Fante-Anne'' (Gypsy Anne) is a Norwegian silent film from 1920 directed by Rasmus Breistein. The film is based on a rural story by Kristofer Janson from 1868. Film history ''Fante-Anne'' is considered to mark the beginning of the national breakthrough in the Norwegian film culture. This was the first Norwegian film to feature professional actors. Unlike previous films made in Norway, ''Fante-Anne'' was also made with professionals working at all levels behind the camera.
