''The Magnificent Scoundrels'' (情聖) is a 1991 Hong Kong comedy film directed by Lee Lik-chi and starring Stephen Chow, Teresa Mo, Tien Niu, Amy Yip, Wu Ma, Roy Cheung, Yuen Wah and Mimi Chu, with special appearances by Karl Maka and Sandra Ng. Plot Romeo (Stephen Chow) is a mediocre con artist who crosses paths with Betsy Kwan (Teresa Mo), a fellow con artist. Together they impersonate various people and create numerous schemes to make money. Meanwhile, gangsters are making a scheme of their own. Lee Lik-chi
Lee Lik-chi (李力持) (born 10 May 1961) is a Hong Kong-based actor, director, and screenwriter. He is best known for his collaborations with Stephen Chow before disassociating each other due to frequent clashes. He is also an active contributor to local education, lecturing and organising filmmaking programs to students. Biography Lee was born into a working-class family and grew up in government housing. His father was a metalworker and his mother was a textile worker. He has two brothers and a sister. His chemistry teacher taught him how to use a camera. Lee started in the entertainment industry as a production assistant at ATV. Golden Princess Film Production () was a Hong Kong production company and film distributor. The company established as Golden Princess Amusement Co. Ltd., which originally distributed Western films and ran a circuit of theatres located at main streets of Hong Kong in late 1970s, with the backing of Lawrence Louey, a director of Kowloon Development whose family then owned Kowloon Motor Bus. Having invested in independent film companies like Cinema City, Always Good and Magnum in 1980s, Golden Princess began to distribute Chinese films and, together with Cinema City, became the third power of Hong Kong cinema, competing with Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest for nearly a decade.
