Amanda Sefton (real name Jimaine Szardos) (also known as Daytripper and the second Magik) is a fictional character and a witch appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Her lover is Kurt Wagner, Nightcrawler of the X-Men. Publication history Amanda Sefton first appeared in ''X-Men'' #98 (April 1976), created by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum. She has appeared occasionally in X-Men titles, most often in ''Uncanny X-Men'' and ''Excalibur''. As Magik, Amanda had her own eponymous, four-issue mini-series in 2000–2001 from writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, with artist Liam Sharp. ''Magik'' was a four-issue comic book limited series published by Marvel Comics in 1983–1984, starring the fictional characters Magik and Storm. The series title is consistently displayed on the covers as ''Storm and Illyana: Magik'', but the official title as listed in the indicia is the reverse: ''Magik: Illyana and Storm''. It was written by Chris Claremont and illustrated by John Buscema, Ron Frenz, Sal Buscema, and Tom Palmer. Publication Because of the popularity of the ''Uncanny X-Men'' during the 1980s under Chris Claremont, a number of mutant related properties were created, most notably ''The New Mutants'' from which this series spun off. Magik (Illyana Nikolaievna Rasputina) (Russian: Ильяна Николаевна Распутина) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is depicted most often in relation to the X-Men, and first appeared in the comic book ''Giant-Size X-Men'' #1 (May 1975). Magik is the younger sister of the Russian X-Men member Colossus. She is a member of a fictional species of humanity known as mutants, who are born with superhuman abilities. Due to her time imprisoned in (and later ruling) Limbo, she is a powerful sorceress. Her mutant power, which first manifested in that Limbo, is the ability to teleport via stepping discs utilizing that dimension's magic. ''Rock On!!'' is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language musical drama film written and directed by Abhishek Kapoor, produced by Farhan Akhtar, and with music by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy. The film marks the successful Bollywood debut of Akhtar and Prachi Desai. Magik (rapper)
Piotr Łuszcz (18 March 1978 – 26 December 2000), also known as Magik (pol. ''Magician''), was a Polish rapper and record producer. From 1994 to 1998 he was a member of the Polish hip hop group Kaliber 44. After he left Kaliber 44 he formed the group Paktofonika with Sebastian Salbert (stage name "Rahim"), and Wojciech Alszer (stage name "Fokus"). Łuszcz committed suicide on 26 December 2000 at around 6.15 a.m. by jumping from the window of his ninth-floor apartment. ''Magik'' is the title given to a trance mix-compilation series by Tiësto. The series, which has had seven installments starting in 1997 and ending in 2001, has been released by Tiësto on Black Hole Recordings. Magik (programming Language)
Magik is an object-oriented programming language that supports multiple inheritance and polymorphism, and it is dynamically typed. It was designed and implemented in 1989 by Arthur Chance of Smallworld Systems Ltd. as part of Smallworld Geographical Information System (GIS). Following Smallworld's acquisition in 2000, Magik is now provided by GE Energy, still as part of its Smallworld technology platform. Magik (Inspirational Magik) was originally introduced in 1990 and has been improved and updated over the years. Its current version is 5.2. In July 2012, Magik developers announced that they were in the process of porting Magik language on the Java virtual machine. The successful porting was confirmed by Oracle Corporation in November of the same year.
