Magic Kitchen
''Magic Kitchen'' is a 2004 Hong Kong romantic comedy film directed by Lee Chi-ngai and starring Andy Lau, Sammi Cheng and Jerry Yan. The film was adapted from the novel of the same title by Hong Kong novelist Lam Wing-sum. Plot Yau became the proprietor and head chef of a successful restaurant since her mother died six months ago. Yau cooks according to the large collection of recipes her mother, who had tremendous talent as a culinary artist but never found success in the restaurant scene due to sexism, created over the years, but has no confidence in herself as a chef. When she visits Japan with her assistant Ho at the invitation of an Iron Chef style cooking show, she has a chance run-in with an old boyfriend, Chuen. John Chong
John Chong Ching is a Hong Kong film producer and presenter. He is one of the most successful producers of Hong Kong cinema beginning with the Golden Age of Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan in the 1970s and 1980s. He is now a veteran film producer of Media Asia Group, the company behind the ''Infernal Affairs'' trilogy. Career Chong has spent his entire career in the local entertainment scene. Jacqueline Law () (October 10, 1966 – June 30, 2012) was a Hong Kong television and film actress. Background Law's older brother Law Wai-ping was an actor for TVB during the 1980s. In 1987, Law launched her own acting career at the age of 17.
