Margaret May "Maggie" Tabberer (nee Trigar, born 11 December 1936) is an Australian fashion, publishing and media/television personality, who is a dual recipient of the Gold Logie, and who founded her own fashion label and PR companies. She is best known for her former long time position as Fashion Editor of the ''Australian Women's Weekly'' Biography Modelling and fashion career Tabberer was born in Parkside, South Australia. At the age of 14 while attending her sister's wedding, Tabberer was spotted by a photographer and as a result got her first modelling job, a one-off assignment. Parkside, South Australia
Parkside is an inner southern Suburbs and localities (Australia), suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is located in the City of Unley. History The suburb was once home to the mental health campus of the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Known as 'The Parkside Asylum', it was the primary mental health facility in the state, and occupied approximately one-third of the suburb's area. Parkside Post Office opened on 10 December 1859 and was renamed Eastwood, South Australia, Eastwood in 1967. Geography Parkside lies on the southern boundary of the Adelaide Park Lands, southern park lands. It is bounded, among others, by Glen Osmond, Greenhill, Unley and Fullarton roads. Eric Baume
Eric Ehrenfried Baume OBE (29 May 190024 April 1967) was a New Zealand-born Australian based journalist, novelist, radio presenter, actor and television talk show host. Early life Eric Baume was born Frederick Ehrenfried Baume in Auckland, New Zealand in 1900. His father, of the same name, was a lawyer and politician; his mother, Rosetta Baume, was a teacher and community worker, and one of the first women to stand for Parliament in New Zealand. Eric moved to Sydney in the early 1920s and worked for as editor for several papers. At this time he developed what was to become a lifelong addiction to gambling, which kept his family in debt for decades. Career Baume wrote thirteen books, mostly novels, including ''Half Caste'' (1933). Film rights were purchased in 1946 by United Artists. He hosted a radio series titled ''This I Believe''. The Logie Awards (officially the TV Week Logie Awards; colloquially known as The Logies) is an annual gathering to celebrate Australian television, sponsored and organised by the magazine ''TV Week''. Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is the sudden unexplained death of a child of less than one year of age.
