Maggie Millar
Maggie Millar (born 6 January 1941) alternatively Maggie Miller, is an Australian former actress, artist, writer, radio personality and public relations officer. She is known for her television series roles in '' Bellbird'', ''The Sullivans'' and ''Prisoner'' (1976, 1981-84). Millar came out of retirement when she was offered a part in ''Neighbours'' in 2002. After a year she was written out of the series and again retired in 2007, except for a brief return in a short film in 2016. Biography Career Millar was born in Sydney, Australia and trained in London, England at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, having won a scholarship to go there. Although she has appeared in pantomime and other theatre, she is best known for her many Australian television appearances. ''Phar Lap'' (also released as ''Phar Lap: Heart of a Nation'') is a 1983 film about the racehorse Phar Lap. The film stars Tom Burlinson and was written by David Williamson. Plot A chestnut Thoroughbred horse called Phar Lap, known as Bobby by his strapper Tommy Woodcock (Tom Burlinson), collapses and dies in Tommy's arms at Menlo Park in California in 1932. ''Cluedo'' is an Australian whodunnit game show based on the British series of the same name and inspired by the 1949 board game ''Cluedo.'' It was produced by Crawford Action Time (a collaboration of Crawford Productions and Action Time) in conjunction with Nine Network. The show saw a studio audience view a dramatised scenario, then complete rounds of interrogating the six suspects on stage in character and viewing further evidence through a pre-recorded criminal investigation. ''Possession'' is an Australian television soap opera made by the Reg Grundy Organisation for the Nine Network in 1985. It was the brainchild of the television producer, Reg Watson.
