Maggie Blanc (formerly Maggie Randell) is an American television line producer of British descent. Career Blanc produced the situation comedies ''Frasier'' (NBC) from 1993 to 2004 and '' Back to You'' ( Fox) from 2007 to 2008. In 2009, Blanc produced the pilot episode of the NBC sitcom ''100 Questions'', and the entire run of episodes of the short-lived ABC series ''Hank''. A line producer is a type of film or television producer who is the head of the production office management personnel during daily operations of a feature film, advertisement film, television film, or TV program. A line producer usually works on one film or episode of a TV program at a time. They are responsible for human resources and handling any problems that come up during production. Line producers also manage scheduling and the budget of a motion picture, as well as day-to-day physical aspects of the film production. The Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series is an annual award given to the best television comedy series of the year. From 1960 to 1964, this category was combined with the Comedy Specials (one time programs) category so that both type of programs competed for the same award during those years. The award goes to the producers of the series. Milestones ''The Flintstones'' and ''Family Guy'' are the only animated sitcoms to be nominated for the award. A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode.
