Magdalena Jurczyk
Magdalena Jurczyk (born 28 October 1995 in Krosno) is a Polish volleyball player, representing her country as a middle blocker. She comes from the village of Cergowa near Krosno. She first encountered volleyball in primary school in Dukla. She graduated from PWSZ (Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa (''State Higher Vocational School'') is a type of vocational university in Poland Poland, officially the Republic of Poland, is a country in Central Europe. It is divided into 16 administrative provinc ...) in Krosno with a degree in physical education. She also completed a coaching course in Krosno, where she combined her studies with coaching young volleyball players aged 7-10. Her lifelong dream has been to work in the police. She has an interest in criminology, as she attended a military class in high school. In mid-April 2022, she was called up to the Polish national team. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. Dukla
Dukla is a town and an eponymous municipality in southeastern Poland, in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. As of December 2021, the town has a population of 2,017. The total area of the commune is . Dukla belongs to Lesser Poland, and until the Partitions of Poland it was part of Biecz County, Kraków Voivodeship.
