Madrugada (Madrugada Album)
''Madrugada'' is the fifth studio album by the Norwegian band Madrugada. It was released by the band's own label, Malabar Recording Company (distributed by EMI records), on 21 January 2008. The album was produced by Madrugada and John Agnello who also produced the band's 2001 release ''The Nightly Disease'' as well as My Midnight Creeps' second album '' Histamin''. The album was largely recorded during May 2007 at Water Music Studios, Hoboken, New Jersey and the Magic Shop, New York. Despite the sudden death of guitarist Robert Burås during the recording of the album, Sivert Høyem and Frode Jacobsen soon decided to continue with the completion of the release. The majority of Burås' guitar parts had been recorded when he died, and the rest of Madrugada stated that finishing the album was like therapy for them. Madrugada (band)
Madrugada is a Norwegian alternative rock band formed in the town of Stokmarknes in 1993. The key band members included Sivert Høyem (vocals), Robert Burås (guitar) and Frode Jacobsen (bass). After Burås' death on 12 July 2007, Høyem and Jacobsen decided to finish recording what was to be their final album with the original lineup. On 21 January 2008, the band released '' Madrugada'' and announced that they would split after one last tour. They performed their final concert of this tour on 15 November 2008. In June 2018 it was announced that Høyem, Jacobsen and Lauvland Pettersen had reformed the band for a series of shows in 2019. According to Anders Kaasen of Allmusic, the band was noted for "its bareboned blues-inspired alt-rock" at the end of the 1990s. EMI Records (formerly EMI Records Ltd.) is a multinational record label owned by Universal Music Group. It originally founded as a British flagship label by the music company of the same name in 1972, and launched in January 1973 as the successor to its Columbia and Parlophone record labels. ''Live at Tralfamadore'' is the fifth album, and the first live album by the Norwegian band Madrugada. It was released on EMI records in 2005 and went on to become the highest selling release in Norway for that year with the band's previous release The Deep End as the runner up. The songs were recorded at various locations during 2003 and 2005 as noted in the track listing. The powerful, ' ''You Better Leave'' ' is the only 'new' song on the album and the only song (so far) unavailable elsewhere as a recorded studio version. The name Tralfamadore is a reference to the fictional home planet of aliens from several novels by the American science fiction author Kurt Vonnegut. My Midnight Creeps
My Midnight Creeps (initiated 2003 in Oslo, Norway) was a Norway, Norwegian rock band fronted by deceased Madrugada (band), Madrugada-guitarist Robert Burås and Ricochets (Norwegian band), Ricochets-guitarist Alex Kloster-Jensen. Biography Other members included Dag Stiberg on tenor saxophone, Behzad Farazollahi on drums, Anders Møller on Percussion instrument, percussion and Raymond Jensen on Bass guitar, bass. Keyboardist Mikael Lindqvist also appeared on their first album, ''My Midnight Creeps''. The band's music carried inspiration from The Stooges, as well as The Rolling Stones and The Animals. Their critically acclaimed second album ''Histamin'' received six out of six points in a review in Norwegian newspaper ''Verdens Gang''. Histamin
Histamine is an organic nitrogenous compound involved in local immune responses, as well as regulating physiological functions in the gut and acting as a neurotransmitter for the brain, spinal cord, and uterus. Since histamine was discovered in 1910, it has been considered a local hormone (autocoid) because it lacks the classic endocrine glands to secrete it; however, in recent years, histamine has been recognized as a central neurotransmitter.
