Madrid Autonomous Football Team
The Madrid autonomous football team is the regional football team for the Community of Madrid, Spain. They are not affiliated with FIFA or UEFA, because the Community of Madrid is represented internationally by the Spain national football team. The team plays only friendly matches. History Prince of Asturias Cup In the first half of the 20th century, the Regional Centro Football Federation (which encompassed Madrid and the wider Castile region, and organised the Campeonato Regional Centro for the local clubs) selected a representative team for friendly matches, and also participated in the inter-regional Prince of Asturias Cup, winning the competition on two occasions (1917 and 1918) when they were hosts. Arenas Club De Getxo
Arenas Club de Getxo is a Spanish football club based in the town of Getxo, near Bilbao, in the autonomous community of Basque Country. Founded in 1909, it currently plays in Segunda División RFEF – Group 2, holding home games at Campo Municipal de Gobela, with a 2,000-seat capacity. They were winners of the 1919 Copa del Rey, beating FC Barcelona 5–2. Feliciano Rey
Feliciano Rey Álvarez (4 July 1894 - 4 March 1974), was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for Racing de Madrid and Madrid FC. After retiring, he had a short spell at Deportivo Balompié as manager. Cantabria Autonomous Football Team
The Cantabria autonomous football team is the regional football team for Cantabria, Spain. They are not affiliated with FIFA or UEFA and therefore are only allowed to play friendly matches. History The Northern Federation In the early 20th century, the Cantabrian players were part of a combined 'North' team, however, this team usually only featured players from the Basque provinces of Biscay and Gipuzkoa, each of which was also organizing their own representative matches occasionally. This 'North' team, which later evolved into the Basque Country team, participated in the first Prince of Asturias Cup tournament in 1915 at Madrid, and they won the title after beating the Catalan team 1–0 and then holding Centro (a team formed by players from the center of Spain) to a 1-1 draw. The Catalonia national football team ( ca, Selecció de futbol de Catalunya) is the official football team of Catalonia. It is organised by the Catalan Football Federation, founded in 1900. José María Castell
José María Castell García de la Cruz (24 September 1896 - 13 October 1981) was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder. Castell was one of the most important figures of Madrid FC at the beginning and middle of the 20th last century, as a player, captain, manager and even as an architect. Club career Born in San Sebastián, he moved to Madrid when he was a child, and there he studied at the Colegio Clásico Español, where he took his first steps in football, playing as a midfielder. Saturno Villaverde Lavandera (29 February 1892 - Unknown), nicknamed Saturnino and also known as Villaverde II, was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for Athletic Club de Madrid. Miguel Mieg
Miguel Mieg Alonso (29 September 1896 – 19 April 1981), was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for Athletic Club de Madrid. A historical member of Athletic Madrid in the late 1910s, he was one of the first footballers to play for them for his entire career, and thus to be part of the so-called one-club men group. José Agüero Santelices was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder and forward for Athletic Club de Madrid and Racing de Santander in the late 1910s and early 1920s. Sócrates Quintana Montoto (18 December 1891 – 28 February 1984), was a Spanish artist and footballer who played as a midfielder for RS Gimnástica and Athletic Club de Madrid. Ezequiel Montero Román (22 February 1893 – 17 April 1972) was a Spanish footballer, referee and manager in Spain at the beginning of the 20th century.
