Elizabeth Madox Roberts (October 30, 1881 – March 13, 1941) was a Kentucky novelist and poet, primarily known for her novels and stories set in central Kentucky's Washington County, including ''The Time of Man'' (1926), "My Heart and My Flesh," ''The Great Meadow'' (1930) and ''A Buried Treasure'' (1931). All of her writings are characterized by her distinct, rhythmic prose. Robert Penn Warren called "The Time of Man" a classic; the eminent Southern critic and ''Southern Review'' editor Lewis P. Simpson counted her among the half dozen major Southern renascence writers. Ford Madox Brown (16 April 1821 – 6 October 1893) was a British painter of moral and historical subjects, notable for his distinctively graphic and often William Hogarth, Hogarthian version of the Pre-Raphaelite style. Arguably, his most notable painting was ''Work (painting), Work'' (1852–1865). Brown spent the latter years of his life painting the twelve works known as ''The Manchester Murals'', depicting History of Manchester, Mancunian history, for Manchester Town Hall. Richard Madox (11 November 1546 – 27 February 1583)Oxford DNB was an English explorer, who served as a chaplain aboard Edward Fenton's voyage headed for the Moluccas and China in 1582. He died during the voyage, but left a diary which has been republished and is preserved in the British Museum. Biography Madox was born on 11 November 1546 in Shropshire, one of three brothers. He initially attended Shrewsbury School and then became an undergraduate at All Souls College, Oxford University, when he was 20. Thomas Madox
Thomas Madox (1666 – 13 January 1727) was a legal antiquary and historian, known for his publication and discussion of medieval records and charters; and in particular for his ''History of the Exchequer'', tracing the administration and records of that branch of the state from the Norman Conquest to the time of Edward II. It became a standard work for the study of English medieval history. He held the office of historiographer royal from 1708 until his death. Life Madox was born in 1666. He applied himself at an early age to the study of the common law, and was admitted to the Middle Temple, though he was never called to the bar. Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01
is a 1987 original video animation produced by AIC, Soeishinsha and Pony Canyon and directed and conceptualized by Shinji Aramaki. It has been licensed in the United States by AnimEigo. The plot centers on a mechanic who comes across the MADOX-01, a heavy powered armor suit designed to fight enemy tanks. After getting trapped in the suit before reading the user's manual, the military attempts to reclaim it, leaving him with no choice but to defend himself. Aramaki, who was in charge of the original idea, directing, and mechanical design, later recalled that he was still in his 20s and didn't know what to be afraid of when he made the OVA, which was also his directorial debut. Plot One day, Kōji Sugimoto, a young man who works as a mechanic at a car maintenance shop, inadvertently gets into the " Slave Trooper MADOX-01," a new anti-tank land weapon that was being transported in secret.
