Madison Schuck
Madison Schuck (born 8 October 1991) is an Australian rugby union player. She plays Prop for Australia internationally, and for the in the Super W competition. Rugby career 2022 Schuck was one of eleven players who made their international debut for Australia against Fiji on 6 May 2022 at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. She then started in her second appearance against Japan at the Bond Sports Park in Gold Coast. Schuck was named in the Wallaroos squad for the 2022 Pacific Four Series. She came off the bench against the Black Ferns in the opening match of the Pacific Four series on 6 June. She was later named in the Wallaroos squad for a two-test series against the Black Ferns at the Laurie O'Reilly Cup. The Pacific Four Series is an international rugby union competition that is sanctioned by World Rugby. It is contested between four women's national teams — Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States. It began in 2021 and was initially contested between Canada and the United States. They were later joined by Australia and New Zealand in 2022. History The Pacific Four Series was announced as a cross-regional tournament that will serve as a qualifier for Oceania Rugby and Rugby Americas North (RAN) to the WXV competition that will officially launch in 2023. The 2023 Laurie O'Reilly Cup was the 14th edition of the rugby union competition. 2023 Pacific Four Series
The 2023 Pacific Four Series was the third edition of the Pacific Four Series, an international women's rugby union tournament that served as one of the principal qualification routes for the top two tiers of WXV. The tournament was hosted by Spain, Australia and Canada. The series took place over three months. The first round saw Canada and the United States play the opening match in Madrid on 1 April 2023, followed by Australia hosting New Zealand on 29 June 2023 in Brisbane. The series concluded in Canada with all four teams competing over two weekends in early July for the title. The 2021 Rugby World Cup was the ninth staging of the women's Rugby World Cup, as organised by World Rugby. It was held from 8 October to 12 November 2022 in Auckland and Whangārei, New Zealand. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2022 Laurie O'Reilly Cup was the 13th edition of the competition. The matches were played on 20 and 27 of August, with both Australia and New Zealand hosting one match each. After a two year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was confirmed that the competition would return. The first test was played in Christchurch at the Orangetheory Stadium on 20 August 2022. The second test was played in a curtain raiser to the Wallabies and Springboks test in Adelaide on 27 August 2022. The Black Ferns won the first test in Christchurch with an overwhelming 52–5 score and retained the O'Reilly Cup.
